Our Services

Vascular Care

As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Joseph Caruso dedicates his practice at Complete Vascular Care in Arlington, Texas, to helping patients like you protect and improve their vascular health.

Dialysis

Dialysis is a medical technique that removes naturally occurring substances, excess water, and dissolved products of metabolism, from the blood by a process of diffusion and filtration.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

PAD is a serious vascular health issue that can be a result of several vascular issues that requires medical attention from an expert like Dr. Joseph Caruso.

Spider (Varicose) Veins

Spider veins, which are commonly known as varicose veins, are raised blood vessels that are visible underneath the skin and can be a cosmetic concern for many.

Skin Discoloration

Skin discoloration, darkening, or texture changes on your feet and ankles is a condition called stasis dermatitis and is usually caused by circulatory problems that limit blood flow to your feet.

Leg Swelling (Edema)

Swelling — medically known as edema — often develops in your legs when issues like blood clots stop fluid from moving through your body properly and can be a sign of a more significant issue.

Why Choose a Vascular Surgeon?

Vascular Surgeons are trained in both open and minimally invasive surgical techniques, making them experts on both methods. This training gives the vascular surgeon insight that other surgeons may not have. If you choose to have a minimally invasive procedure, you may limit the success of a subsequent open procedure you may need in the future. In some cases, where minimally invasive procedures have removed the open option, a need to completely remove a limb is the only option.

So, what questions should you ask?

It is always important to ask your physician when they would recommend an open procedure and what they would do if a minimally invasive procedure does not work. A vascular surgeon like Dr. Caruso is trained to answer these questions, and you can rely on a vascular surgeon to create a plan that is tailored directly to your needs.
